The priestly ordination of Alessandro Palladino

On October 31, 2015, Alessandro Palladino, of Foggia, was ordained a priest in the shrine of San Giuseppe Vesuviano. It was an extraordinary event for the province of the Holy Family, since it had an Italian-born new Josephan priest after eight years. Most Rev. Beniamino Depalma bishop of Nola ordained him; many Josephan confreres, including the Father General and the provincial of the Italian province, many young people, relatives, friends, parishioners etc. participated with great enthusiasm. Besides all the festivities and celebrations, it was very nice to see young people organize, encourage, participate actively in the ordination. It was also a good opportunity for promotion of vocations in which the bishop called the attention of young people on the religious and priestly vocation. The event ended with moments of sharing, lunch and conviviality.

The following Sunday, the Solemnity of All Saints, Fr. Alessandro celebrated his First Mass at the Shrine.

New premises for the Turazza Vocational Institute

On Saturday, October 31 the sun also wanted to celebrate giving us a beautiful day! On Saturday, October 31 the sun also wanted to celebrate giving us a beautiful day! Many students, teachers, local and regional authorities, Josephites… met to share the joy of the inauguration of the new building of the “Turazza” in Treviso (Italy). The building is beautiful and functional, and was designed by the architect (and former student) Ugo Rigo, from Thiene, who presented it to the participants. The Director of the Centre, Margherita Bergo, opened the ceremony, which was attended by, among others, the deputy mayor of Treviso, Roberto Grigoletto,  the president of Forma Veneto, Renato Meggiolaro, the deputy president of ENGIM Raffaele Fortuna, the vicar general of the Josephites of Murialdo Fr. Alejandro Bazan, and the national president of ENGIM Fr. Antonio Teodoro Lucente.

A great gift of God, which becomes also our task: to continue to enhance the life of this educational community so that our young people may have abundant life, encounter God and be full of joy!
