The XXIII General Chapter of the Congregation of St. Joseph began in the morning of Sunday, June 3, in the Spirituality Center Inmaculada Conception of Quito, Ecuador.

Together with many members of the St. Leonard Family of Ecuador, the members of the chapter participated in the festive opening ceremonies. A solemn Mass, presided by the Superior General Fr. Mario Aldegani, was followed by artistic and cultural representations of the Ecuadorian tradition.

The celebrations concluded with a dinner shared among all the participants.

In the afternoon, the members of the chapter began officially the work of the XXIII Chapter with the invocation of the Holy Spirit and the first session in which were elected the confreres for the various services of the Chapter.
