In cammino con la Madre di Dio: il Consiglio Generale in pellegrinaggio

Il 1° giugno 2026, il Consiglio Generale, insieme ai confratelli della Casa Generalizia, si è recato in pellegrinaggio al Santuario della Madonna del Buon Consiglio a Genazzano. Questo momento di profonda preghiera è stato scelto per affidare e mettere idealmente ai piedi della Madre di Dio le decisioni e il cammino futuro della nostra Congregazione.

La scelta di questo luogo antico e speciale non è stata casuale. Il Santuario di Genazzano custodisce l'affresco sacro della Vergine che, secondo la tradizione, nel 1467 si distaccò prodigiosamente da una chiesa in Albania per sfuggire all'invasione ottomana, posandosi sulle mura del santuario laziale. Da oltre cinque secoli, questo luogo è un punto di riferimento per tutta la cristianità, un'oasi di pace dove la Chiesa si mette in ascolto della "Madre del Buon Consiglio".

I membri del Consiglio e i confratelli hanno voluto attingere proprio a questa secolare sorgente di grazia e di sapienza mariana. In un momento storico di discernimento e di grandi scelte per i Giuseppini del Murialdo, invocare Colei che dispensa il "Buon Consiglio" significa cercare la luce dello Spirito Santo, affinché ogni decisione presa sia sempre guidata dalla volontà di Dio e orientata al bene dei giovani e delle nostre missioni nel mondo.

Together the Murialdine Schools Open Their Doors to the Civilization of Love

The start of a new school year always brings with it a special burst of energy, joy, and deep hope. This September, in countless schools and educational centers across the Murialdina network around the world—from Europe to Latin America, and to communities on the African continent such as Ghana and Nigeria— the bell rings once again . From classrooms in Italy to those in Quito and Ambato, Ecuador, to centers in Spain and all the institutions resuming classes in these weeks, thousands of students, teachers, and educators are coming together to embark on a new shared journey. The true value of this moment lies in the power of concrete collaboration. None of our schools walks alone: each one is a vital node in a single, large global organism that draws its strength from the charismatic pedagogy of the Congregation of St. Joseph and the legacy of St. Leonard Murialdo. Working together allows us to transcend geographical boundaries, share best practices, and cultivate everywhere a welcoming “family spirit” where every student feels valued, heard, and supported. In the Murialdian vision, educational and professional excellence always goes hand in hand with human and spiritual care. This richness is also reflected in the beauty of the world’s diverse rhythms: while in many countries classes resume in September, in other nations of the Southern Hemisphere—such as Brazil, Argentina, or Chile—the school year follows the calendar year, beginning at the start of the year. This diversity of times and seasons ensures an ideal continuity of prayer, educational commitment, and presence alongside young people throughout all twelve months, at any latitude. Starting anew today means renewing our shared commitment: “to educate hearts in order to foster the Civilization of Love.” In a rapidly changing global context, our challenge remains to form Christian citizens who are aware and compassionate, capable of building the future with responsibility and hope. To all the students, families, teachers, and the entire community of the great Murialdina Family, we extend our warmest wishes for a school year full of discoveries and achievements attained together.

International Meeting of Josephite Formators

Under the coordination of General Councilor Fr. Jacob Yeboah (C.S.J.), formators from Brazil (Fr. Geraldo Canever, Fr. Elves Bessa), the Central Delegation (Fr. Maximo Mantija, Fr. Shine John), Ecuador/Colombia (Fr. Julio Cesar Hernandez), the African Vice-Province (Fr. Arnaud Aniou), and India (Fr. Eugine Juliyan, Fr. Soos Antony Deeman). Other formators, unable to attend in person, are following the proceedings online. The goal of the meeting is to reinvigorate the initial formation of the Josephines of Murialdo, keeping their roots firmly planted in the Charism but with the necessary openness to future developments. At the heart of the program is the update of the Josephine Formation Guidelines for the entire Congregation. To all of them we extend our sincere thanks and our best wishes for fruitful work in the serious and profound accompaniment of our candidates and aspirants to the Josephine Religious Life.
