Sui passi del Murialdo a Venezia!

Sabato 18 e domenica 19 novembre si sono ritrovati a Venezia, nel nostro patronato, circa 110 giovani, delle opere di S.Giuseppe Vesuviano, Napoli, Ravenna, Pinerolo, Milano, Thiene, Montecchio, Padova, Conegliano e Oderzo, per il ritiro Sui passi del Murialdo, quest’anno davvero in un luogo dove lui ha camminato e dove i Giuseppini sono arrivati già nel 1883, a soli 10 anni dalla fondazione della congregazione, prima opera fuori dal Piemonte. E’ stata un’esperienza bellissima, la prima volta che siamo riusciti ad organizzare un meeting in questo opera, proprio nel suo 140° anniversario, grazie alla sinergia creata tra la comunità dei padri d.Piergiorgio e d.Vittorio, il laico Roberto Frison, gli animatori di Oderzo e il forte impulso del padre provinciale d.Tony.

Dear readers, In this issue of *Vita Giuseppina* 5-26, we are pleased to share with you a central aspect of the Murialdo charism: the Murialdo-inspired vocational formation of young people and workers. In 19th-century Turin, in the midst of the Industrial Revolution, Leonardo Murialdo—rector of the Artigianelli since 1866—knew how to read the signs of the times. He chose work as the heart of a human and Christian educational journey, pointing to St. Joseph as the educational model to be emulated. Today, in the age of artificial intelligence, new challenges and new questions confront the Church, educational institutions, parents, formators, and the entire Murialdo Family. In this rapidly evolving landscape, Murialdo-style vocational formation for young people and workers remains an indispensable resource for “safeguarding humanity”, promoting the dignity, freedom, and integral growth of every young person. In this issue, we invite you to discover a journey that unites memory, the present, and the future: from the roots of the charism to the stories of concrete testimonies from the CSJ and the FdM in Africa, Albania, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Italy, and Spain. MOVIMUR 2026: The Murialdine Schools Network Meets in Porto Alegre

Promoting meetings among young leaders from Murialdo schools is an extraordinary asset for our social and educational work: it enhances networking, encourages the exchange of experiences among students, and strengthens the sense of belonging to a large global family. It was precisely in this spirit that MOVIMUR took place—the annual gathering of student and youth movements within the Murialdo Education Network in Brazil, an event that brings together young people from different schools to experience moments of integration, spirituality, leadership, and sharing. The 7th edition of the event was held in Porto Alegre (Brazil) on September 18 and 19, 2026, hosted at the Colégio Murialdo in Porto Alegre. This year’s event had as its theme “Leadership and Hospitality” and as its motto the Gospel verse “He came to dwell among us” (John 1:14). Along with educational and spiritual activities, the gathering promoted concrete acts of solidarity, such as the traditional fundraising and donation drive for the “Projeto Morro da Cruz,” in support of local communities. At the conclusion of the event, the location of the 8th edition (2027) was announced; it will be hosted by the school of Ana Rech in Caxias do Sul.
