Adolescenti e giovani interconnessi dalla rete murialdo e connessi al mondo del lavoro (chat virtuale)

All'evento hanno partecipato circa 400 giovani apprendisti.
La provincia brasiliana dei Giuseppini del Murialdo, attraverso il Coordinamento dell'Azione Sociale, ha promosso nel pomeriggio di mercoledì 25 agosto, alle ore 14, una chiacchierata virtuale sul tema “Adolescenti e giovani interconnessi dalla Rete Murialdo e connessi con il mondo del lavoro”. L'incontro ha avuto l'obiettivo di stimolare l'interazione tra gli apprendisti dei percorsi di apprendimento professionale e gli adolescenti sopra i 14 anni che partecipano al Servizio per la Convivialità e il Rafforzamento dei Vincoli (SCFV) delle diverse città e stati in cui il Murialdo è presente, favorendo lo scambio di esperienze e favorendo il protagonismo.
La chat è stata mediata dai diplomati dell'apprendimento professionale Barbara de Andrades Borda (Caxias do Sul) e Maria Eduarda Garcia (Londrina). La conferenza è stata tenuta dall'ospite Felipe Caetano, laureato in lavoro minorile, attivista sociale e fondatore del CONAPETI (Comitato Nazionale Adolescenti per la Prevenzione e l'Eradicazione del Lavoro Minorile).
Il presidente dell'Istituto Leonardo Murialdo (ILEM), padre Joacir Della Giustina, uno dei precursori nell'elaborazione dello Statuto del Bambino e dell'Adolescente, ha sottolineato che l'evento sarà storico e risponde alla proposta e all'eredità lasciata da san Leonardo Murialdo, che è aiutare nella promozione dei bambini e degli adolescenti, specialmente quelli che si trovano in una situazione di vulnerabilità sociale. “Sappi che tu sei la ragione dell'esistenza della nostra Congregazione. È bello averti nella Famiglia del Murialdo”, sottolinea.
Durante la conferenza, Felipe (un giovane) ha raccontato a circa 400 giovani che hanno seguito la chat il suo percorso di vita e la lotta che ha dovuto affrontare contro il lavoro minorile. “Ho iniziato a lavorare all'età di 8 anni come cameriere. A 13 anni ho iniziato a partecipare agli incontri con i giovani della mia comunità per dibattere sui diritti e sulla realtà giovanile.
I giovani partecipanti all'evento sono stati immensamente grati per l'opportunità di far parte del programma di formazione professionale e hanno anche sottolineato che al Murialdo l'apprendimento va ben oltre la formazione professionale; sperimentano l'amore, l'accoglienza, i valori umani e l'importanza di un cuore educato.
Il Provinciale, padre Marcelino Modelski, ha chiuso l'evento con un commosso discorso: “Felipe, sei stato di grande ispirazione, ci hai dato chiavi liberatorie, hai evidenziato la tua vocazione e il tuo protagonismo. Ascoltare voi giovani è stato un balsamo. Il tempo è per l'ascolto e questi discorsi sono stati carichi di molte responsabilità. Congratulazioni!".

International Meeting of Josephite Formators

Under the coordination of General Councilor Fr. Jacob Yeboah (C.S.J.), formators from Brazil (Fr. Geraldo Canever, Fr. Elves Bessa), the Central Delegation (Fr. Maximo Mantija, Fr. Shine John), Ecuador/Colombia (Fr. Julio Cesar Hernandez), the African Vice-Province (Fr. Arnaud Aniou), and India (Fr. Eugine Juliyan, Fr. Soos Antony Deeman). Other formators, unable to attend in person, are following the proceedings online. The goal of the meeting is to reinvigorate the initial formation of the Josephines of Murialdo, keeping their roots firmly planted in the Charism but with the necessary openness to future developments. At the heart of the program is the update of the Josephine Formation Guidelines for the entire Congregation. To all of them we extend our sincere thanks and our best wishes for fruitful work in the serious and profound accompaniment of our candidates and aspirants to the Josephine Religious Life.

Meeting Between the Italian Provincial Council and the General Council

On September 8, at the current provincial headquarters at Via degli Etruschi 7 in Rome, at the request of the Provincial Superior, Fr. Carmelo Prestipino (C.S.J.), the two Councils met with the aim of jointly examine some fundamental decisions for the Italian Province, following their Assembly held in Turin in recent days. Among the topics discussed were: the reorganization of the Italian Province in light of the decline in vocations, the assignments and placements of certain confreres, the financial restructuring involving the management of the Mother House’s real estate, and the procedures for implementing the “Economic-Charismatic Pact” across all the Province’s works, including those of ENGIM (Ente Nazionale Giuseppini del Murialdo). It was a moment of genuine sharing of concerns, but also of hopes for the future. The two Councils will develop concrete proposals to be presented on September 23 during an online meeting, while the final decisions will be communicated to the confreres via a joint document.

The Murialdo 2027 Agenda is currently being prepared; it is designed to accompany the days of the new year with events, reflections, and words inspired by the charism of St. Leonardo Murialdo. It will be a special edition, dedicated to the journey of preparation for the bicentennial of our Founder’s birth. Sharing responsibility for the Murialdo mission is a blessing for everyone. The Church’s current message—which also sets forth guidelines for the future of the Church, our Congregation of St. Joseph, and the entire Murialdo Family, as presented in Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas—leads us to recognize the profound cultural, social, and technological challenges that society, and young people in particular, are facing in this time of profound change. If the trend in today’s world is to build a “New Babel,” which represents the idolatry of profit at the expense of the most vulnerable and increases the risk of dehumanization, we are called, according to Pope Leo XIV, to build the “New Jerusalem”—the city of love, where love is the sole guiding principle of economic, political, and cultural life. My hope for this year, 2027, is to make notes in my calendar that will contribute to the building of a new society, where God and humanity live together. Another event not to be missed this year is the celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of St. Leonardo Murialdo, which will begin in October 2027 and conclude in October 2028.
