La voce e tempo sulla 150 della congregazione

Si conclude domenica 19 marzo alle 10.30, presso il santuario-parrocchia di Nostra Signora della Salute in via Vibò 26 a Torino il 150° di fondazione della Congregazione di San Giuseppe, i padri Giuseppini del Murialdo. Alla concelebrazione solenne, presieduta da mons. Roberto Repole con alcuni Vescovi del Piemonte tra cui mons. Giuseppe Anfossi, vescovo emerito di Aosta, mons. Gabriele Mana emerito di Biella e il Vescovo di Ivrea Edoardo Cerrato e i tre Vescovi giuseppini - due nell’Ecuador amazzonico mons. Adelio Pasqualotto (vicario apostolico del Napo), mons. Celmo Lazzari (vicario apostolico di San Miguel de Sucumbíos) e mons. Irineu Roman, Arcivescovo metropolita di Santarém nel nord del Brasile - parteciperanno decine di Giuseppini, laici, ex allievi, suore murialdine e giovani in rappresentanza delle opere di tutto il mondo. La conclusione del 150° inizia giovedì 16 a Roma con il ritrovo presso l’oratorio murialdino San Paolo. L’indomani il «clou» in Vaticano con l’udienza speciale di papa Francesco per circa 250 delegati della famiglia murialdina accompagnati dal padre generale don Tullio Locatelli. In serata l’arrivo dei pellegrini a Torino e sabato 18 alle 9.30, presso il collegio Artigianelli, Casa Madre della Congregazione in corso Palestro, il convegno sul presente e il futuro della Congregazione a cui parteciperanno, tra gli altri, il sindaco di Torino Stefano Lorusso, don Locatelli, suor Orsola Bertolotto, madre generale delle Murialdine di San Giuseppe e lo storico della congregazione, don Giovenale Dotta e i rappresentanti delle opere murialdine sparse nel mondo. Dopo la visita nella Torino sui passi del Murialdo alle 21 presso il santuario della Salute la Veglia di preghiera presso l’urna del fondatore.
Era il 19 marzo 1873, festa liturgica del padre terreno di Gesù, quando nella cappella degli Artigianelli, il teologo Leonardo Murialdo fondava la Congregazione, scegliendo san Giuseppe come patrono. Oggi i Giuseppini del Murialdo sono circa 500 in Europa (Italia, Spagna, Albania, Romania), Africa (Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau, Ghana, Nigeria), Americhe (Brasile, Ecuador, Argentina, Cile, Stati Uniti, Colombia, Messico) Asia (India) vivendo il carisma del fondatore nell’educazione dei giovani più poveri come fece il Murialdo che accolse agli Artigianelli gli orfani e i ragazzi derelitti della Torino dell’800. Di qui lo slogan scelto per il 150° «da Torino al mondo in cammino con i giovani» che mette in luce due pilastri della spiritualità murialdina: la missionarietà e come raccomandava il Murialdo, vivere come «’amici, fratelli e padri’ per i giovani, camminando con loro per rispondere insieme alle sfide del presente e del futuro».

Dear readers, In this issue of *Vita Giuseppina* 5-26, we are pleased to share with you a central aspect of the Murialdo charism: the Murialdo-inspired vocational formation of young people and workers. In 19th-century Turin, in the midst of the Industrial Revolution, Leonardo Murialdo—rector of the Artigianelli since 1866—knew how to read the signs of the times. MOVIMUR 2026: The Murialdine Schools Network Meets in Porto Alegre
Promoting meetings among young leaders from Murialdo schools is an extraordinary asset for our social and educational work: it enhances networking, encourages the exchange of experiences among students, and strengthens the sense of belonging to a large global family. It was precisely in this spirit that MOVIMUR took place—the annual gathering of student and youth movements within the Murialdo Education Network in Brazil, an event that brings together young people from different schools to experience moments of integration, spirituality, leadership, and sharing. The 7th edition of the event was held in Porto Alegre (Brazil) on September 18 and 19, 2026, hosted at the Colégio Murialdo in Porto Alegre. This year’s event had as its theme “Leadership and Hospitality” and as its motto the Gospel verse “He came to dwell among us” (John 1:14). Along with educational and spiritual activities, the gathering promoted concrete acts of solidarity, such as the traditional fundraising and donation drive for the “Projeto Morro da Cruz,” in support of local communities. At the conclusion of the event, the location of the 8th edition (2027) was announced; it will be hosted by the school of Ana Rech in Caxias do Sul.
