TRA KUNG FU E RISATE!!!

La Parrocchia S. Antonio in Modena, zona Cittadella, come tutti gli anni, ha organizzato un divertente Centro estivo con giochi entusiasmanti e tanta gioia data dagli animatori e dai bambini.

Il tema di quest’anno è stato il famoso film d’animazione “Kung Fu Panda”: i bambini sono stati accolti in una realtà piena di mosse di karate, riflessioni sulla vita e tanti spaghetti! Gli animatori hanno cercato di far divertire il più possibile i bambini, per alcuni dei quali queste settimane sono le uniche vacanze: era d’obbligo rendere magica quest’esperienza!

Tra piscina, sport, giochi d’acqua e laboratori i ragazzi hanno avuto la possibilità di esprimere la loro creatività ed opinione, conoscere nuove persone e farsi nuovi amici! Si sono messi alla prova con tante sfide, resistendo al caldo di queste giornate. Gli animatori sono stati sempre presenti e disponibili e, nonostante qualche sgridata, sempre con il sorriso sul volto.

Tutte le mattine, dopo la preghiera e la fantastica senetta di teatro, riassuntiva del film e realizzata dagli animatori, i ragazzi andavano nel campo per cimentarsi in un divertente balletto ovviamente a tema Kung fu, per poi passare ai giochi e alla merenda del mattino, il momento più atteso!

In queste settimane sia i bambini-ragazzi che gli animatori hanno imparato a collaborare e a divertirsi insieme creando una bella alleanza tra loro. Le Tigri, Mantidi, Gru e Scimmie si sono dimostrate squadre agguerrite e inarrestabili. Nonostante le grandi differenze tutti hanno avuto modo di sentirsi a loro agio in mezzo agli altri. I bimbi hanno appreso il rispetto, la disciplina e tante belle riflessioni, ma sicuramente hanno saputo dimostrare come si fa a divertirsi più che mai!

Gli animatori sono statti pazienti, sempre pronti ad aiutare chiunque: hanno gestito le situazioni di gioia ma anche quelle di tensione; hanno apparecchiato, pulito ed organizzato a più non posso.

Un grosso ringraziamento va ad Ilaria, Ermelinda e a varie persone che hanno collaborato con d. Pietro. Senza di loro non ce l’avremmo fatta.

Third week: "El Capítulo XXIV nos interpela, nos urge y nos envía"

SAN FRANCISCO DE MOSTAZAL (CHILE) – Murialdo Month continues in Chile, where the Murialdo Family continues to experience moments of deep reflection, communion, and charismatic renewal. During this week, from October 19 to 23, attention has been focused in particular on the Josephine Religious of Murialdo, who are called to allow themselves to be challenged and guided by the theme: “Chapter XXIV challenges us, urges us, and sends us forth.” The intensive program of reflection touched on fundamental aspects of the Congregation’s life and mission, through presentations dedicated to “Consecrated Life Today, a Visible Sign of Hope”, to Murialdo’s admonition “ ‘Let them not be lost: we too,’" and the ever-present question: "Does the cry of young people still pain us?" The confreres also discussed pressing pastoral and educational issues, such as “The culture of care,” the courageous choice between “Saving hearts or sustaining structures” and the fundamental shift “From administrators to fathers.” To cap off this journey of fraternity, there were also community visits to the ministries in Requínoa and Valparaíso, places where the Murialdo charism continues to be embodied in service to young people and the local Church.

Week Two: "Hope That Transforms: Young People in the Service of Life"

SAN FRANCISCO DE MOSTAZAL (CHILE) – During this Murialdo Month, our attention turns to Chile, where the Murialdo Family is coming together to experience days filled with formation, fellowship, and service. During this week, October 12–16, various educators from our schools, reception services, and social ministries are gathering and walking alongside young people from different Murialdo communities around the world, guided by the Murialdo Youth and Vocational Ministry. This year’s theme, “Hope That Transforms: Young People in the Service of Life,” calls us back to the heart of our mission: to be instruments of hope and promoters of life for young people. A central part of this journey is the visit to the religious community of Requínoa and the San José High School, places where the Murialdian charism continues to serve as a guiding light for the education and human and spiritual growth of the younger generations.

The “Square Kilometer of Charity” on the Path to UNESCO World Heritage Status: The Journey of Murialdo’s Legacy

In the heart of Turin, in an area spanning just a few hundred meters in the Valdocco neighborhood, beats an ancient and extraordinary heart. It was here, during the 19th century, that a remarkably high concentration of charitable works managed by Turin’s “Social Saints” took root—including our beloved founder St. Leonard Murialdo, St. John Bosco, St. Joseph Benedict Cottolengo, St. Joseph Cafasso, St. Joseph Allamano, and the Marquises Giulia and Tancredi di Barolo. A blessed area that history has christened the “Square Kilometer of Charity”, where concrete responses in the form of hospitality, education, and social redemption have forever transformed the lives of the poorest and the marginalized. On October 8, 2026, a step of fundamental importance was taken: the Memorandum of Understanding was formally signed, officially launching the process to nominate the “Square Kilometer of Charity” for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Promoted by the Coordination Committee of the Social and Health Integration Area (which brings together the region’s historic charitable institutions), the agreement launches a rigorous phase of research, cataloging, and promotion of the priceless historical, archival, spiritual, and educational heritage preserved in these streets. Let us accompany this important institutional and cultural journey with our prayers and enthusiasm. The contribution of St. Leonard Murialdo, together with that of the other great witnesses to the faith in Turin—the “social saints”— represents a living source of charity that continues to form and educate younger generations throughout the world.
